When I was a child, that's how I measured how cold it was outside... by how much and how quickly your nose hairs stuck together. Another favourite, particularly when I lived in ottawa, was how crunchy the snow sounded. I have vivid and happy memories of walking in the dark, under the full moon, with the snow noisily crunching beneath my feet, and my nose hairs sticking together, much like last night. Those are cold weather memories, and today I have another one to add to the store. On my drive into work I saw the freakiest and most magnificent sight -- the beaches, inspiring on even the most regular of days, was fantastically surreal today -- the water was replaced by a swirling mist that rose and danced magically in the wind, white against the dark blue of the sky. I wanted to stop and capture it forever in a photograph, but I was already running late for work, and didn't have my camera anyway *sigh* ... maybe they'll be a repeat performance tomorrow... it will be worth the drive to acton if I get a shot of that!
I had planned to blather each day, but time as it is, I think it is more realistical if I aim for once a week -- so here's a wrap up of the week:

Yesterday I learned how I can put the Windows Media Player controls on my toolbar. Unfortunately, this didn't work when I told my daughter how to do it, nor did it work for MaryAnn.... obviously it requires further investigation.
I have almost completed my "curriculum" for Inspiration... to be continued today.
Winter camp is soon approaching -- I hope there will be snow, so I can sleep outside in a quinzhee.
Have a great weekend!
